PNWA Summer Conference: July 17-20
Conference registration is open! We hope you'll be able to join us this summer for our 59th annual PNWA Conference. With over 50 different workshops, onsite bookstore, and the opportunity to pitch your work to multiple agents and editors, this is an event you won't want to miss.
Back by popular demand, PNWA members who sign up early will receive their choice of an extra Pitch Block (2 blocks total) or a special Query Feedback session with agents and editors. All conference attendees receive one Pitch Block of their choice, and this year you can sign up for your block ahead of time -- no more waiting in line!

On Sunday, March 16 at 2:00pm, Sandra Walker will give a lively PowerPoint presentation at the Everett Public Library based on Little Merchants, The Golden Era of Youth Delivering Newspapers. There will be entertaining stories, 20th-century historic information, and an opportunity to talk with subjects featured in the book. Also, on March 31 at 10:00, she will give a program for for residents of the Green Lake Hearthstone Center.

--- Lisa Fernow will be hosting a book launch party for her new novel, Dead on Her Feet: A Tango Mystery, on Thursday, March 27 at the Velvet Underground Dining Experience in Seattle. The event will include hors d'oeuvres by Rodrigo Cappagli of Maria Luisa Empanadas, wines by John Isley of Vinos Argentinos, medialunas by Bill Petersen, a tango demonstration by Tony and Ilana of Seattle Tango, a reading from Dead on Her Feet by Lisa, and a personally autographed copy of the book (a $17.95 value). The book was acquired by St. Martin's Press in a two-book, five-figure deal brokered by agent Kimberly Cameron of Kimberly Cameron & Associates. Titan Books (UK) has purchased the United Kingdom and Commonwealth publication rights and will publish a trade paperback version on March 28. Edible Book Festival: March 29
Readers: Start your ovens! As part of the International Edible Book Festival, the Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Council will be hosting a local Edible Book Festival at Third Place Commons located within the Town Center at Lake Forest Park. Bibliophiles, book artists and food lovers will unite to create edible books that are exhibited, documented and then consumed! Edible books are made of food and inspired by a book or pun on a book title.
This March 29 event will be held from 11am - 3pm, and is free and open to the public. Come out and enjoy these mouthwatering manuscripts, or brave your aprons to create your own succulent storybook.Get inspired at www.books2eat.com.Your creation should be inspired by a book but made out of edible ingredients. It may look like a book, tablet or scroll, or be completely unique. Entries may be sweet or savory. This is an all-ages event with judging categories for the following age groups: K-6th grade, 7th-12th grade, and adult.
