MEMBER NEWS:

PNWA member Janet Fisher is thrilled to announce that her new agent, Rita Rosenkranz, just closed a deal with Erin Turner at Globe Pequot Press for her new book, A Place of Her Own: The Pioneer Journey of Martha Poindexter Maupin. The book is about Janet's great-great-grandmother and her daring decision to buy a farm on the Oregon frontier after the death of her husband, a family farm Janet now owns. Here is what Janet has to say about the process:

"I met Rita at the 2012 PNWA conference and pitched the book to her in one of those dynamic new pitching sessions. From the moment I arrived at the conference I was impressed with the encouragement and support I received from everyone there. The positive atmosphere and organization helped me connect with Rita, who made this breakthrough happen for me. Thank you, PNWA!"

PNWA Member Wendy Hinman is pleased to announce that her book Tightwads on the Loose is now available in both paperback and Kindle.  Imagine spending 24 hours a day with your spouse in 31 not-so-square feet . . . for years; crossing the Pacific Ocean on two gallons of fuel; and tossing spaghetti marinara around your living room, then cleaning it up while bouncing like ice in a martini shaker. Tightwads on the Loose tells the story of Wendy and Garth, lured to sea by the promise of adventure. They buy a 31-foot wooden boat that fits their budget better than it fits Garth's large frame and set sail for an open-ended voyage, never imagining they'd be gone seven years, or cover 34,000 miles at the pace of a fast walk. They live without most "necessities" and learn that teamwork and a sense of humor matter most as they face endless "character-building opportunities." It's a fast-paced adventure story that offers plenty of laughs.  Perfect for the armchair adventurer. An ideal beach read or gift for that someone who has everything.  For more details about the book and Wendy Hinman's entertaining slide shows and book events, visit:  http://wendyhinman.com/tightwads-on-the-loose/

A Beautiful Heist is a jewel theft caper with a dash of romance. Think of it as Ocean's Eleven meets Stephanie Plum, with a heroine who's a little bit Bridget Jones, a little bit Carrie Bradshaw... and she just happens to be a professional jewel thief.
