Greetings Republicans!

Thank you to all of you that made our July luncheon a success! Thank you to those that donated so that we could honor our heroes. Thank you to those that attended and brought a guest of honor. And most importantly, thank you to those active duty, reserve and retired military ladies and gentleman that have served our great nation! Thank you for joining us! It was our pleasure and our honor to have you join us for lunch.

The month of August will be a very busy month for us as well!

August 11th, we are excited to be having Congressman John Carter update us at our August meeting. With all the important issues facing our state and our nation, you will not want to miss it!

August 15th, our Birthday Party Planning will begin! If you are interested in volunteering for this annual FUNdraising event, please join us 10am at La Madeleine in Round Rock. Please contact me at president@wilcorw.org or 512-748-5473 and I will save you a seat at our planning meeting!

August 18th, your WCRW Board will meet to discuss, along with other regular business, Campaign Donations for the November Election. If you have not received an email application to be considered for a donation, please visit the website for more information. Requests will be accepted through Friday, August 15th so that we may have time to review the requests prior to discussions. PAC request for funds link

Congressional Update

U.S. Representative John R. Carter was re-elected in a landslide in November 2012 to his sixth term representing Texas' Thirty-First Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. Congressman Carter serves as the Chairman of the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Appropriations and was selected this term to serve on the Commerce, Justice, Science Subcommittee and Defense Subcommittee. This is also Congressman Carter's third term to serve as Co-Chairman of the bipartisan House Army Caucus. He has been a member of the House Appropriations Committee since 2004

Sunday, September 14th WCRW will be serving hot dogs, hamburgers, and all the fixings at the 9th Annual Grand Old Picnic in beautiful Berry Springs Park, Georgetown, Texas. This is a great family friendly event from 2-6 & is a perfect opportunity to come socialize and then help out! Please email social@wilcorw.org to let us know if you can volunteer to help serve lunch from 3-5! We need 8 - 10 volunteers to come out and help support the party!
