WCRW March Luncheon Presenting Guest Speaker Brad Bailey
|
Brad is a proud native of Nassau Bay, Texas.
From 2000 to 2011, Brad was the Vice President of Operations for three of the Bailey family-owned Houston area seafood restaurants: Sudie's Catfish & Seafood House (2 locations) and Bailey's American Grille. Brad quickly learned the importance of hard work and southern hospitality while working every position from dishwasher to general manager in his family's restaurants. For many years, Brad has been active in lobbying on the legislative issues that affect the restaurant industry in Texas and across the United States. This passion led Brad to co-found The Texas Immigration Solution and The Hard Work Clean Hands Initiative in 2012.The Hard Work Clean Hands Initiative is a 501c4 non-profit organization that develops and advances conservative solutions for the currently broken U.S. immigration policy. The organization provides a voice for U.S. job creators by educating the broader community on the urgent need for comprehensive, conservative and market-oriented reforms of the immigration process. In June 2012, Brad served on the Republican Party of Texas Platform Committee and co-author ed the "Texas Solution" immigration platform plank. This was the first time any state Republican Party proposed a solution to repair the currently broken U.S. immigration policy. At the Republican National Convention in August 2012, Brad and The Texas Immigration Solution successfully secured an endorsement of a National Guest Worker Program on the Republican National Platform. In June of 2013, the Texas Federation of Republican Women awarded Brad with the "Champion of Freedom Award" for his leadership in providing solutions to our nation's broken immigration policy.
