Dear Friends,
Welcome to the April issue of Irbit Informer!
We have been waiting a bit longer than usual for spring to come this year and it seems (!) that it's finally here. :-)
How do we know? Well, one naughty Easter Bunny made sure to let everyone know the Ural Spring riding
season was now open. If you haven't seen it on the news, be sure to check it out.
PS: we want to thank our friends in San Diego BMW & Ural for providing us with some free national television PR.

Spring at the factory in Irbit was tough and slow coming, too. It still snowed all the way into April as recently
as just last week. Sounds familiar, anyone???
The snow icky weather didn't stop our dealer and a long time friend and supporter Dell Zehm of St. Croix H-D & Ural
to travel all the way from Minneapolis to Irbit this past March.
Dell has been a Ural dealer since the early '90's - and he finally did what he wanted to do for a long time -
visit Russia and the factory. "What I found refreshing at the factory and what I got to see of Russia within
that short week'', says Dell, "is that no one is worried about being politically correct, people are straightforward,
they just say it how it is."
Well, we are at Ural in Redmond are pretty straightforward too, so if you are in the area
and you've been thinking about buying a Ural - go see Dell. He is one of the most knowledgeable dealers out there,
a huge enthusiast and is just a good guy to deal with. Check out a one of a kind Ural Taimyr he's got in stock, too.
Well, now onto some business news to share with you - US retail sales result for Q1 are in and we are 11% up
from last year for the same period! We continue to grow and it's exciting! We want to thank all of you for your
enthusiasm and support to make this happen. Welcome to the family!
Now, those of you who are still thinking and maybe already saving up for a new Ural, here's a bit of help from us.
We are offering a limited time special retail financing rates. See details below.
We will also share some shortcuts on where to find good deals and unique bikes, so read on. :-)
Factory is running at full speed. Ilya (the Boss) and our purchasing crew continue relentlessly on outsourcing
more parts to ensure our vendors supply consistent quality products in a timely manner.
If you only knew what we have to go through to make this happen... for example, Ilya's lunch ( top center) this week in Taipei:
PS: disclaimer - he actually picked it voluntarily and quite enjoyed it. :-)
Worldwide sales activity is quite good, Canada is on fire, Australia doing very well, Japan is getting fresh shipment
next month, Europe has suffered from this long winter but Hari and Birgit our European Distributor are kicking butt (for new readers, remember, we are not very pc here) and moving things right along.
Stateside we've got two more good new dealers in Idaho and Oklahoma this month - the two markets we've been
missing out on. See their locations below, give them a call or just drop in.
The last, but not the least. We are finally re-launching our Emissary program. Many of you have been doing it for years,
so now that we have new brochures, we want to set you up with some good tools to help with the UDF and to spread
the word around.
Please send us your feedback, stories, pictures and videos. We really like to hear from you, it's what makes
our small Ural crew in Redmond and in Irbit going every day... and every night. :-)
