We Would Like Your Help!
Recreation Survey Spring Lake Township is collaborating with the Northwest Ottawa communities of Ferrysburg, Grand Haven, Grand Haven Township and the Village of Spring Lake to complete a Regional Recreation Plan. Previously, each community has completed individual Recreation Plans. One main purpose of completing these plans is to provide eligibility for Michigan Department of Natural Resources Trust Fund grants.
The joint recreation plan will provide a community-wide overview of recreational opportunities, as well as a unified recreation inventory for the area. Individual capital development and land acquisition sections will be developed for each community.
The Regional Recreational Planning Committee is gathering and encouraging public input into the planning process. They have developed a community recreation survey to collect information about current perceptions, future recreational desires and needs, programming desires and other relevant information to complement the planning process.
One goal of the Committee is to reach as many people as possible to provide a diverse representation of all age groups from the community. If you do not live in any of the Northwest Ottawa communities, you may benefit from the recreational opportunities offered, and your thoughts and opinions are important to the committee as well. It is expected that the 25-question survey will take no longer than 10-15 minutes to complete.

Help Keep our Township Clean
 Whether you are enjoying the many recreational opportunities in the area or just out for a stroll, remember to clean up after your dog. Township ordinance requires that you clean up feces made by your dog. Let's keep the bike paths, streets and parks clean for everyone's use. Thank you for your cooperation!
