Ottawa County Way Essay Challenge
What is unique about living in Ottawa County, Michigan? The Ottawa County Board of Commissioners are sponsoring the "Ottawa County Way" essay challenge. Interpret this subject as broadly as you wish. Essays must be 1500 words or less and must be postmarked or received via email by April 30, 2014. Winners will be chosen by the Ottawa County Board of Commissioners and the results will be announced on May 27, 2014 at a regular meeting of the Board.

Please keep fire hydrants clear!
Winter is dragging on, and there is a lot of snow on the ground. Remember, if there is a fire hydrant on your property, please keep the snow shoveled away from the hydrant. If there is a fire, the firefighters would rather not have to take the time to shovel out the hydrant before fighting the fire. Thanks for helping keep the community safer!
