Michigan Townships Association recently honored Spring Lake Township as the first Michigan township to achieve the comprehensive Township of Excellence designation. The recognition awards townships that meet a series of demanding, high-level criteria reflecting best practices in delivering government services to residents. This recognition is for the 2012-2016 township board term.
