Leaf Collection  

 

Spring Lake Township is again sponsoring a leaf collection site at the DPW building, 16747 150th. Your leaves must be in paper leaf bags, and branches and other brush cannot be included. This site is for Spring Lake Township and Village residents only, and ID may be required.

October 19 to November 16

Wednesdays, 2pm to 4pm

Saturdays 10am to 4m

Leaves only, must be in paper bags

 

  

CPR Class  

 

Spring Lake Fire Department is sponsoring AHA Heart Saver CPR classes in November for only $35. Contact the Fire Department at 616-844-0491 to enroll. Enrollment is limited.

 

November 6, 6pm to 10pm

 

November 9, 8am to 12pm

Township Notes  
  • Remember - there is no leaf burning in Spring Lake Township. Small branches and brush may be burned on designated Burn Days only, and a permit is required. The next Burn Day is November 16.         
     
  • Phosphorus fertilizer is banned in Ottawa County. When purchasing fertilizer, the second number in the description should be zero (for example 10-0-10).   
         
  • Spring Lake District Library is hosting a free shredding event on Saturday, November 2 (the rescheduled date) from 11am to 2pm.

Leadership Connect 

 

This year's Leadership Connect class has chosen the North Bank Trail project as their class Service Project. The project will be funded and organized by the class members, and will include interpretive signs and additional benches. Thanks to the Leadership Connect class for choosing this project!
