March 16 Burn Day
Saturday is the first Burn Day for 2013. Spring Lake Township ordinance requires a permit before burning is allowed. Also, only tree branches, brush and stumps which are out of the ground may be burned. Leaves may not be burned. Also, burning is not allowed within 1400 feet of Township borders with the Village of Spring Lake, the City of Ferrysburg, or the City of Norton Shores.
On Saturday, permit holders are required to call the Fire Department at 616-844-0491 before beginning their burning.

Annual Meeting of the Electors
The Annual Meeting will be held on Monday, March 25, 6pm, at Township Hall. Electors of Spring Lake Township will hear about the proposed annual budget for the Township. Supervisor John Nash will discuss the state of the Township.
Following the Annual Meeting, the Board of Trustees will meet to discuss and vote on the General Appropriations Act.
