Suicide Prevention Training

 

April 24th, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. St. Croix County Behavior Health will be providing free community QPR (Question Persuade Respond) training. This training is part of communal effort to address suicide in St. Croix County.

Lundy Bancroft Workshop

May 16th, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Register now for TurningPoint's Lundy Bancroft workshop. "Explore abuser profiles and tactics, and examine the impact of domestic violence on family dynamics and child well-being."

 

 

 

 

Circle Keeper Training

 

June 6 & 7 - Participants will learn about the role of the Keeper and applications of the Circle, including classroom Circles. Please see our brochure for details.

 

Trainings are free to SCVRJP volunteers.

National Crime Victims' Rights Week
        
This year NCVRW is April 21-27. The theme is, "New Challenges. New Solutions." The Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) has a resource guide for victim-assistance providers.
 
Our community and SCVRJP are offering resources and meetings during NCVRW. Victim-assistance organizations are invited to our Supporting Victims Lunch & Learn. Please see our flyer for additional events and details.
 
Community organizations are welcome to distribute brochures and print materials for our Resource & Referral Open House on Wednesday, April 24th. Materials will be returned to their respectful organizations following the open house to help conserve resources. Please visit us on this day to pick up information and resources from providers in the St. Croix Valley.
 
Volunteer Circle

Next Volunteer In-Service

 

Join us April 10th from 6-8 p.m. for our next in-service. This Circle will be for volunteers and other members of our community interested in the Circle process. It will be useful to develop community members into community mentors, and promote connections between volunteers!

 

Volunteers new and experienced are encouraged to attend. Please call the Restorative Justice Center at 715-425-1100 to schedule.

Community Clean Up
 
Help enrich our community by scheduling today to help with our spring community clean-up! Open to groups and individuals looking to improve our environment. Adult volunteers and service groups are needed.

Looking for an Addition to Our Team!

  

SCVRJP is looking for an Office Associate to provide premier administrative support for the executive director, programs, services & volunteers of SCVRJP.  The hours will be flexible and during normal business hours.  This is a part-time position 24 hours per week.

Key responsibilities include managing phone and email coverage, case documentation and participant verification. Please see here for qualifications and job expectations. Deadline to apply is April 17th.

Community organizations and individual volunteers can support Peace & Belonging by helping with their local Victim Impact Panels. SCVRJP provides Victim Impact Panels to River Falls, Hudson, New Richmond and Ellsworth to promote safe driving.
