Recognizing Black History Month
In February we observe Black History Month. We recognize the Little Rock 9 and the push to desegregate schools. Today we would like to see Restorative Justice Circles and philosophies being used in schools to resolve issues and create a sense of belonging. Who are you remembering this month?
 | | Arkansas Department of Parks & Tourism |
The theme of this year's National Conference on Restorative Justice is "Keeping It Real - Race & Restorative Justice". This summer the Fourth National Conference, link will open on Juneteenth, "A holiday recognized by 42 states... Juneteenth was established to commemorate the historical date of June 19, 1865, when slavery ended in the U.S." |
