Awards
- Carolyn Washburn, USU Extension family and consumer sciences agent, recently received the Distinguished Service Award from the National Extension Association for Family and Consumer Sciences. She was honored for her work involving financial management education, food safety and nutrition, healthy family relations and emergency preparedness. Her goal is to help individuals and families become resilient and avoid the "crunch" of life by being financially prepared and healthy for any emergency.
The Distinguished Service Award is the highest presented by NEAFCS and recognizes members for leadership, outstanding program efforts and personal and professional development. Washburn serves on the Extension Disaster Education Network and chairs the Washington County Marriage Coalition.
