  • Dash in the Dark Zombie 5K Run - Friday, Oct. 23, 6:30 p.m., USU Botanical Center, 920 S. 50 W. Kaysville. Come jog on garden trails, around ponds and through an arboretum while being chased by infectious and creepy zombies. Cost is $15 a person.Those of any athletic ability are invited to participate.There will also be a "post zombie apocalypse party" to follow with activities, food and opportunities to dance and take pictures with zombies.   • Brian Richter, chief scientist for the water program of The Nature Conservancy, lectures - "Chasing Water in a Rapidly Changing World," Wednesday, Oct. 28, 4 p.m., Campbell Scientific Auditorium, AGRS 101 (overflow simulcast in GEOL 302) and Tuesday, Oct. 27, 6 p.m., Swaner EcoCenter, Park City. Richter promotes sustainable water use and management with governments, corporations and communities. He is president of Sustainable Waters, a global water education organization, and has consulted on more than 120 water projects worldwide.
