  • The Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter Utah Wilderness 50 Exhibit -- features 50 photographs of Utah's public lands. The photos were selected through a juried process from more than 1,400 entries in the Utah Wilderness 50 photo contest. Runs through June 7. Click here for more information.
  • Forestry Extension Learn at Lunch Webinar -- Tuesday, May 19, noon to 1 p.m.    
    i-Tree Version 6 Preview: Applications and Strategies for Utah Communities, Al Zelava, Urban Forester with The Davey Institute, Chicago, Ill. The i-Tree software suite provides free analytic tools to quantify community forest structure and the environmental services trees provide based on U. S. Forest Service science. The webinar will preview the latest innovative features and tools available later in 2015. The webinar is good for 1 CEU from the International Society of Arboriculture and Society of American Foresters. Click here to join the free webinar.
  • Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter Wetland Bird Walk, Sat., May 23, 7:30 - 9 a.m. Come out for an early morning wetland birding adventure led by Dave Hanscom and Swaner staff and hike through the Swaner wetlands, then head toward the spring-fed ponds in the heart of the Preserve. Be prepared with waterproof boots as the ground is wet all year long. Cost is $5, click here to register.
  • Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter Saturday Nature Walk, Sat., May 23, 10 - 11:30 a.m. During the tour you'll learn about wetland science, native plant and animal species, and the history of the Swaner Preserve. Sturdy boots or shoes are recommended along with a water bottle. The tour begins at the Swaner EcoCenter. Cost is $5. Click here for information.
