Extension Professor Receives Distinguished Service Award

Heidi LeBlanc, Utah State University Extension professor and Food $ense (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education or SNAP-Ed) director, recently received the National Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (NEAFCS) Distinguished Service Award. The national award, presented in Lexington, Kentucky, is the highest award given by the NEAFCS and recognizes members for leadership, educational program efforts and professional development. The Food Distribution Research Society annual conference - Monday, Nov. 3, through Wednesday, Nov. 5, Salt Lake City, "The Role of Local Food Sourcing and Destination Image in Enhancing Economic Development."
