USU Center Receives Award of Excellence
- Utah State University's Center for Water Efficient Landscaping (CWEL) was the recipient of an Award of Excellence from the Western Extension Directors Association at their recent meeting in Lake Tahoe, Nev. The annual award recognizes Extension outreach education programming that has achieved outstanding accomplishments, results and impacts in addressing contemporary issues. Walmart Foundation Donates Thousands to EFNEP Program
- Resources and goals of the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) in Utah have broadened following a recent $25,000 donation from the Walmart Foundation to support the program. EFNEP, a program sponsored by USU Extension, is tasked to provide free nutrition education to assist limited-resource individuals and families in acquiring the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve improved health. Extension Professor Travels to Bangladesh
- Dale ZoBell is a firm believer that what knowledge we have we should share. He recently returned from Bangladesh as a volunteer on assignment to expand the animal science curriculum for the International University of Business, Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT) in the country's capital of Dhaka. View test plots and meet with researchers working on commercial fruit and vegetable production including cherries, peaches, raspberries, apples, onions, sweet corn, beans and asparagus.
