The USU Botanical Center Farmers Market in Kaysville opens July 17 and 

continues on Thursday evenings through September 25 (with the exception of 

July 24). The market offers the best in local vegetables and fruit, baked goods, art, unique handmade items, children's activities, and educational opportunities in a friendly and fun environment. 

 

Market patrons also enjoy free special events like sweet corn grilling,  entertainment by local musicians and educational opportunities. Sweet corn, squash, beans and other vegetables will be available at the first market on July 10th. Patrons of this year's market will find tasty ways to cool off from the summer heat including Sghetti's Italian Ice and USU's Famous Aggie Ice Cream! Come to the market on July 10 and 17 to enjoy free taste-testing of six different flavors of Aggie ice cream. See you at the market!

Aggie Summer Adventure Camps

 

There is still plenty of time for kids to come explore the wonderful, slimy, wet, magical and beautiful world of nature at the USU Botanical Center! Each summer camp in our series is designed for a particular age group and is full of fun, hands-on experiments for investigating the world in which we live.

Tony Grove Wildflower Walk for our Garden Members


Mark your calendars for the July 29 wildflower walk for our garden members. Take a walk on the "wild" side with Jerry Goodspeed, JayDee Gunnell, and Richard Anderson. Meet them at Tony Grove Lake parking lot in Logan Canyon that morning for a leisurely walk among the area's beautiful wildflowers. Bring your hiking boots/shoes, water and lunch. Not a member yet? Cooking from the Garden
Monday, June 30, 6:30 pm- 8 pm
Come inside the Utah House kitchen and learn how to cook and preserve what is growing in your garden. Diagnostic Clinics for Your Garden 

Having trouble with your trees, shrubs, lawns, vegetables, or flower gardens? If so, come any of the free diagnostic clinics held at Ogden Botanical Gardens! Our friendly and helpful Master Gardeners can help with any questions you might have about how to keep your garden thriving.Bring your questions and even samples or photos of your problem plants.

Hobbit Holes

Come explore the different animal homes in the garden, learn about the burrowing creatures of Utah, and even create a natural habitat of your own.

Join us as we investigate worms, discover the world of insects, and create some slimy, gooey, and gross concoctions.

Canopy Creations

Learn about the wonderful world of trees, from the roots to the treetop. This camp includes a hands-on adventure in our arboretum and a tree-size art project.

Trails, Treks and Treats (two-day camp)

Ready for an adventure? Trails, Treks, and Treats will be sure to get you in survivor mode with things like orienteering,  shelter-building, and campfire cooking.

Wild Wilderness Art Camp (two-day camp)

During this two-day camp, we'll use nature as inspiration and create beautiful artwork of our own.
