Are There Home Remedies for Weed Control?
Summer is coming, which means weeds are too. Extension specialist, Richard Beard explains how there are several reasons to consider using home remedies rather than commercial fertilizers and herbicides in the yard and garden, including sensitivities to chemicals and concern that such chemicals are unhealthy or present significant environmental hazards. Members-Only Wildflower Walk at Tony Grove

Mark your calendars for the July 29 wildflower walk for our garden members. Take a walk on the "wild" side with Jerry Goodspeed, JayDee Gunnell, and Richard Anderson. Meet them at Tony Grove Lake parking lot in Logan Canyon that morning for a leisurely walk among the area's beautiful wildflowers. Bring your hiking boots/shoes, water and lunch. Not a member yet? Explore the Garden Family Night: 
Bug Bash
Monday, June 30, 6:30 pm- 8 pm
This event will teach young and old the ins and outs of the bug world from an expert entomologist. Learn to identify macro-invertebrates from the pond, get a temporary bug tattoo and create a fun bug craft. Cost is $10 per family (up to 6 members) or $3 per person.  Click here to register.

Enchanted Garden Fairy Camp
Join us to play in our garden, learn about fairy folklore and explore the magic of plants.

Come explore the different animal homes in the garden, learn about the burrowing creatures of Utah, and even create a natural habitat of your own.

Slimy, Gooey, Gross

Join us as we investigate worms, discover the world of insects, and create some slimy, gooey, and gross concoctions.

Canopy Creations

Learn about the wonderful world of trees, from the roots to the treetop. This camp includes a hands-on adventure in our arboretum and a tree-size art project.

Trails, Treks and Treats (two-day camp)

Ready for an adventure? Trails, Treks, and Treats will be sure to get you in survivor mode with things like orienteering,  shelter-building, and campfire cooking.

Wild Wilderness Art Camp (two-day camp)

During this two-day camp, we'll use nature as inspiration and create beautiful artwork of our own.

Junior Master Gardener

This on going, 8-week program will include time spent in the garden, learning tricks (and tools!) of the trade. Join us for fun, garden-themed activities, and of course, creative and delicious ways to use the plants we grow. Click here to register.

Gardens Open House

Walk through the gardens at the USUBC and learn about what's growing from our garden tour guides. The tour starts at the Farmers Market Tent on 50 West in Kaysville where we will have food, children's activities, and information. This event is free.
