Gardening, Cooking and Family Fun

Come join in an evening of learning and fun at Live Well Utah, sponsored by USU Extension. Our director, Jerry Goodspeed, will teach a workshop to get you started growing plants indoors that will be ready for the garden this spring. You'll take home new skills, potting materials and seeds. Other workshops feature how to have money conversations in your family and tips for quick, economical meals.  Live Well events will be at the Conservation Garden Park and Thanksgiving Point. Don't forget to use the promo code 'garden' for $2 off your ticket. Explore the Garden Family Night: Indoor Gardening

Come in from the cold and enjoy the warmth of the greenhouse. Learn to care for house plants and find out how they can improve air quality. Build and take home a lettuce box where you can grow greens all through the year. Click here to register.

Plant Propagation Series

Plant Propagation 101 is a comprehensive, hands on, five-class course about producing plants from seed, hard and softwood cuttings, and grafting and budding techniques.

"Spring Thaw" Pruning Day

Welcome the spring by learning from the experts how to prune your fruit trees, berries, grapes and ornamental plants. Starting at 9 am, we will have hour-long workshops demonstrating proper pruning techniques for all the woody plants in your landscape. Come for one or both. No registration required.

Cost: Free

When: 9 am-noon each day

Where: March 8 at USUBC, March 15 at OBG
