 Teens Take on Health
- Utah State University Extension 4-H members recently hosted "Teens Take on Health" roundtable discussions in Logan and Salt Lake to develop health and living programs for their communities. The 4-H youth, along with teens from the Boys and Girls Club and Latinos in Action, shared their views on health issues in the town hall-style meetings. Click here to read more.

IVC Presentation - Tuesday, Nov. 19, 9 to 10 a.m., FCS Presentation, "Gluten-free Diets," presented by
Carrie M. Durward, Extension nutrition specialist and assistant professor. This talk will provide research-based information on a gluten-free diet and the two conditions that necessitate it: celiac disease and non-celiac gluten sensitivity. Other discussion topics are foods to include and avoid, FDA labeling rules, common nutrient deficiencies and more. The event will be recorded for viewing at a later date.

CMS Testers Needed
- USU IT is getting closer to choosing a content management system and seeks volunteers to test the systems. Feedback and point-of-view when working on a site within the systems are needed. If you are interested in digging deeper into the possibilities of TerminalFour and OmniUpdate, contact Paul McCullagh or
to set up a testing account. The testing period will last approximately three weeks.

Save the Date
- Extension's Utah Building Farmers Program Legal Risk and Tax Management Workshop - Wednesday, Nov. 20, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the USU Botanical Center Utah House in Kaysville.
Legal risk management discussion topics include prioritizing risks and limiting liability, business structures and contract considerations. Tax management and liability topics include depreciation considerations, hobby loss rules, 1099 forms and 2013 changes.
Registration cost is $20 per farm or ranch (two people) at the door. Contact
