4-H Aggie Adventures for Kids Summer Camps 2013
Come explore the wonderful, slimy, wet, magic and beautiful world of nature at the USU Botanical Center this summer! Whether your young adventurer would be at home in Enchanted Fairy Garden Camp, Water World, Wild Wilderness Art Camp, or exploring physics and wildlife at Angry Birds Camp, be assured that each camp is designed for a particular age group and is full of fun, hands-on experiments for investigating the world in which we live. Explore The Garden Family Night: Wild Edibles
 
Monday, June 24, 6:30 pm - 8 pm 
 
You don't always have to buy produce at the local farmers market or from a grocer. Some of the produce you need and enjoy may be available in your own backyard! This event will introduce your family to the idea of urban foraging and will allow you all to try a variety of different wild edibles, from delicious fruit to weeds you would never in your wildest dreams think to eat. Gardens Open House
When: Saturday, June 8 

Where: USU Botanical Center 

Time: 9 am- 12 pm 
Cost: Free 

If you've ever wondered what's blooming at the USU Botanical Center, today's the day to visit! Our gardens will be open, and our Garden Stewards will be prepared to give you a teaching tour of the latest and greatest features of the gardens. Start out by picking up a tour map at the USU Botanical Center Utah House.
 
Events & Classes 

Having the Thyme of Your Life: Growing, Cooking, and Preserving Herbs 

When: Thursday, June 27 

Where: Utah House at USUBC  

Time: 6:30 pm - 8 pm

Cost: $29 Members, $37 Public     

This class will cover the basics of growing, cooking and preserving herbs. Participants will learn how to make herb infused oil, which make great gifts and there will be a demonstration on how to make fresh pesto. It will be a deliciously fun evening! To register, click here.   

   

Diagnostic Clinic for Your Garden 

When: Wednesdays, June-September  

Where: USUBC Ogden, 1750 Monroe Blvd 
Time: 3 pm- 6 pm 

Cost: Free    

Having trouble with your trees, shrubs, lawns, vegetables, or flower gardens? If so, then to come any of the free diagnostic clinics held at Ogden Botanical Gardens! Our friendly and helpful Master Gardeners can help with any questions you might have to keep your garden thriving.
