United by the Land Celebration
The College of Agriculture celebrates its long history of excellence in a musical, narrative event featuring the American Festival Chorus and Orchestra April 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the Kent Concert Hall. Overflow will be in the Morgan Theatre. The event is free, however tickets are required and are limited. Click here for tickets and further information.

New Live Well Utah Website Launched
Click here to view the recently launched Live Well Utah website. Here you will find information on 4-H and youth, food and health, home and family, gardening, agriculture, natural resources, finances, and business and community. 2012-13 Volunteer of the Year
Hector Mendiola, USU Extension director of programs for Latino communities, was recently named Logan High School Volunteer of the Year. He is in charge of the Latino and diversity adult education at Logan High School's Technology Multicultural Center. He has been instrumental in acquiring grant and scholarship money to allow parents of LHS students the opportunity to learn English free of cost and enable 1,400 students around the state to be involved in English programs.

IVC Videocast Series
Tuesday, April 2, 9 to 10 a.m. - IVC Videocast Seminar Series, "Tree Planting Update and Online Tree Resources," featuring Michael Kuhns, USU Extension forestry specialist. This seminar will cover the basics of tree planting including issues, such as buried root collars, that have arisen in the last 10 to 15 years. There will also be an overview of the latest version of the Utah Tree Browser and other online tree resources. To register at least 24 hours in advance, click here.
