 Best Practice Submission Reminder 
  • Best Practice abstracts can be submitted through January 15 by clicking here. Best Practice sessions will be held at Extension Annual Conference on March 7 from 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. Review and acceptance of the abstracts will occur by the various review groups. Each review group will accept up to eight abstracts for presentation in the corresponding venue. Additional submissions deemed acceptable for presentation by a review group will be scheduled into open slots available among all venues. Contact Chuck Carpenter with questions at [email protected]
 Search Committee Requests Input
  • President Albrecht announced a search committee to seek a replacement for Vice President Noelle Cockett. Search committee chair Mark R. McLellan requests 

    nominations and suggestions of possible candidates. An open forum is scheduled
    Wednesday, Jan. 23, from noon to 1 pm in AGRS Room 101, where President Albrecht will speak briefly regarding the search, then McLellan will host open comments from attendees. The meeting is open to all Extension, College of Agriculture and UAES faculty and staff members. Those not able to attend the meeting can send input to McLellan's assistant, Teresa Seeholzer, at [email protected]
      
Call for Intern Posters
  • USU Extension interns are invited to present their research at the 2013 Utah State University Extension Annual Conference in Logan. Interns will display and discuss their research posters in the Taggart Student Center International Lounge on Wednesday, March 6, before the annual banquet. Interns interested in participating should complete this short poster application by Friday, February 15. Poster guidelines can be found here.

UACAA  members publish in NAACA Journal 

  • Volume 5 Issue 2 of Journal of the National Association of County Agricultural Agents is now available on the NACAA websiteOf the 15 published articles in this issue, five are from Utah, with a large range of programming and application.
UEAFCS and NEAFCS Award Packets Due
  • UEAFCS and NEAFCS Award Packets are due to Ellen Serfustini by January 21. Click here for the state UEAFCS awards application. Visit www.neafcs.org for NEAFCS awards application information. The state awards committee will judge the materials and send the winners on to nationals. Take time to submit something this year that reflects your efforts. Contact Ellen Serfustini with questions at [email protected].
