Conference Room Named  
  • On Wednesday, Nov. 14, the Noelle E. Cockett Conference Room was presented as a gift to Cockett at a surprise unveiling in AGRS Building Room 437. Cockett leaves July 1 to become USU executive vice president and provost. "Knowing that I'm still a part of the AGRS Building will make it (somewhat) easier to move to Old Main," she said.

  • Tuesday, Nov. 27, 9 to 10 a.m. - IVC Videocast Seminar Series featuring Chad Reid, USU Extension natural resources/agriculture agent, Iron County. His topic is "Fire Regime Changes: Effects on Southern Utah Landscapes Over Time." Click here to register at least 24 hours in advance. 
  • Friday, Nov. 30, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. - IVC Videocast Presentation featuring Carrie Durward, candidate for the Extension nutrition specialist position. She will present her vision of an Extension program for 40 minutes and give a 20 minute presentation on how she would present a nutritional topic to the public.   Survey Input Needed
  • Extension Annual Conference -- Great suggestions for technology and skills training topics were given for last year's conference. We value your opinion and want to offer the most meaningful training during the time available at annual conference. Please take a moment to complete this short survey
  • Native Plant Master Program to Utah -- A multi-state grant proposal is in the works to bring Colorado State University Extension's Native Plant Master Program to Utah. As part of the effort, a survey is being conducted regarding the interest in and need for the Native Plant Master Program in Utah among potential participants including Master Gardeners, Master Naturalists, native plant enthusiasts, weed managers and anyone else who might enjoy learning about native plants and invasive weeds. Please take a moment to complete this survey.

  • USU Forestry Extension Learn at Lunch webinar session "Strategic Tree Planting - State and National Efforts to Maximize Tree Benefits," Tuesday, Nov. 27, noon to 1 p.m. To participate, click here and choose "Enter as a Guest." Check in a half hour or more before the webcast to test audio and other settings. This system does not work with iPads and iPhones.
