2015 LDR & Masters Distance Grand Prix Championship Series Announced 

Come Run in USATF Georgia's Premier Long Distance
& Masters Running Competitions!

The USATF Georgia Association LDR & Masters Committees announce their 3rd annual joint distance grand prix championship series of road races.  The races increase in distance over the series from 1 mile to 5km to 10km to half marathon.

NEW for 2015 - We are offering the Great Labor Day Mile as a new distance in the Grand Prix Series.  Prize money will again be offered for Male/Female in Open, Masters and Grand Masters categories.  Total prize money is $4,900 and will be awarded at the last race in the series.

You must register directly with each event to participate in the GP. All events are USATF sanctioned and certified.


USATF Georgia LDR & Masters Distance Grand Prix Rules   

  • You must be a Georgia resident and USATF member to be eligible for awards.
  • You must be a USATF member on race day to earn GP points at an event. Points will not be awarded retroactively.
  • This is an Open, Master, and Grandmaster Grand Prix Series.The men'/women's Open LDR division is open to athletes 19 years and older.  The Master's LDR division is limited to athletes who are at least 40 years old on the day of the meet. Grand Masters is 50 years and older.
  • Participation at a minimum of (2) GP races is required for eligibility for cash prizes.
  • GP Overall Awards are given to the top point-scoring males and females for LDR, Masters and Grand Masters categories at the end of the GP series at the last event in the series
  • You can only win prize money in your own category, i.e. Open, Masters and Grandmasters.  Ties split the amount of their respective places.
  • Grand Prix standings will be posted at our website at www.usatfga.org.

USATF GA Championship medals will be awarded to top 5 male/female in open and masters categories and top 3 male/female in grandmasters categories for each championship in the GP Series.

GP Overall Awards
are given to the top 5 point-scoring males and females for LDR and Masters categories, and top 3 in Grand Masters categories at the end of the GP series.  Total prize money to be awarded - $4,900.
