"Someone You Should Know" - Member Spotlight
 
 Coach Mike Judge is being recognized for all the great work that he has done through his club - Throw One Deep founded in 1999, and through his work with the Coaches Education Program. He has also served the Georgia Association as the Vice President - Marketing/Sponsorship for four years.

Coach Mike graduated from the University of Georgia(UGA) and, as a full track and field scholarship athlete, held both the shot put and javelin records at UGA. He is a Level 3 USATF Certified Coach, IAAF Level 5 Certified Coach, and teaches both Level 1 and Level 2 USATF Coaches Education.

 
Coach Mike's primary goal is to get college scholarships for as many high school student-athletes as possible each year. The club has assisted over 105 student-athletes earn college scholarships. In addition to college scholarships, the club has produced some of the top athletes in the country. Since 1999, Coach Mike has coached close to 200 high school All-Americans, 21 National Champions, 27 National Runner-Ups, and 3 National high school records.

Coach Mike was recently selected to accompany a group of 25 athletes to compete at the NSAF (National Scholastic Athletics Foundation) Caribbean Scholastic Invitational in Havana, Cuba on June 12-13, 2015. Pictured right are Ryan Camp - GA discus thrower,  Kamryn Brinson - GA Hammer Thrower, Isaiah Rogers - GA shot putter, who traveled with Coach Mike to compete in Havana.

 
We commend Coach Mike Judge for his many contributions to the sport of Track & Field and for being a valuable member of USATF Georgia!

USATF Georgia Association JO Championship Results Posted
USATF Georgia congratulates all the athletes that competed at the USATF Georgia Association JO Championship at Mill Creek High School in Hoschton, GA on June 18-21, 2015.   We congratulate all athletes who advanced to the Region 4 JO Championships on July 9- 12, 2015.

USATF JO T&F Outdoor Championships
Eugene, Oregon - 6/26/15

Congratulations to three Georgia Athletes who competed at USATF JO T&F Championships this weekend in Eugene, Oregon - Demek Kemp, Monroe Area High School,  Christian Coleman - Lady of Mercy High School, and Ryan Clark Banneker High School

Kemp qualified for the finals after finishing 3rd  in the Junior Men's 100 Prelim Heat 2 with a time of 10.34. He has now qualified for the Pan American Junior Track & Field Championships as a member of the relay pool.  The championships will be held July 31-Aug 2 at the Foot Field Sports Complex Stadium in Edmonton, Canada.
