This year's Cross Country Season was a very successful one - thanks to the efforts of the USATF Georgia Youth Committee. Their cross country developmental program brought together a series of meets that involved five (5) USATF Georgia Youth Clubs and over 3,000 participants. Meets were held between September and November at various locations.

The following Youth Clubs hosted a XC developmental meet: Alpha Crush - Roswell, GA; Etowah Track Club - Woodstock, GA; Heart & Sole Running Club - Powder Springs, GA; Jack Rabbit Track & Field - Suwannee, GA, and Peachtree City Flash, PTC, GA.. Our sincere thanks to each club for their many contributions to the program and to the growth of cross country in Georgia.

At the conclusion of all the developmental meets, participants competed at the USATF Georgia JO Cross Country Championships which took place this weekend at Heritage Christian Church in Peachtree City, GA. The weather was spectacular, the course was scenic. and there was good participation across all Georgia Youth Clubs. For complete RESULTS, please visit our website at www.usatfga.org.

Next on the schedule are the USATF Region IV Cross Country Championships on Saturday, November 22, 2014 in Myrtle Beach, SC., followed by the 2014 National JO Cross Country Championship on December 13, 2014 at the same location. Top 30 individuals and top 5 teams per age division from the Association XC Championships will qualify for the USATF Region IV XC Championships. Top 30 individuals and top 5 teams from the Region 4 Meet will qualify to advance to the National Championship.
