First Lunch & Learn Session - September 8, 2013
USATF Georgia T&F Committee Chair Gwen Loud-Johnson presented the committee's first lunch and learn session of the year on September 8, 2013 at the Fit EFX Training Center in Atlanta. This was a VIP preview with host Albert Claiborne, fitness specialist and owner of the Fit EFX Training Center.
The 3,800 square foot facility is a full service training center offering 20,000 lbs. of weights; spin cycling; 15 professional grade fitness stations to target every muscle group; boxing; stamina drills; deep tissue, stress relieving massage; and much more. All of that comes together with Mr. Claiborne's focus on nutrition and eating nutritionally complete and satisfying meals to enhance performance. He also focuses on natural foods as the ultimate in training because they offer a natural balance of vitamins and minerals, in addition to the enzymes needed to activate them.
The Lunch and Learn was well attended by athletes, coaches, Georgia Board Members and the Lt. Governor's Office. Mr. Claiborne prepared several nutritious appetizers: salmon rolls with brown rice on Nori seaweed, black bean patties, and healthy spritzers.
T&F Chair Gwen Loud- Johnson is busy planning a second Lunch & Learn with Albert Claiborne for November. Stay tuned for more details on this upcoming event.
