Dwight Phillips, Olympic Long Jumper Retires

Dwight Phillips was honored recently on his retirement from competition during an 11 Alive broadcast on August 9, 2013. Phillips, an Olympic Gold Medalist in the long jump, suffered an Achilles tendon injury in 2012 that side-lined him for the entire season.
President Ian Dube was on hand to present him with a USATF Georgia "Excellence in Athletics" award during his recent interview at 11 Alive. The entire interview is available on our website at usatfga.org.
