The Children's Discovery Museum is open to the public at no charge from noon until 4:00 pm, courtesy of the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Kinsmen Day is the 4th Sunday of each month.

School group visits:

During July and August we continue to reserve Mondays and Tuesdays for bookings, but will be open to the public if there are no bookings.

Please check the museum's online calendar for closures due to group bookings.

Canada Day:

The Museum will be closed on July 1.

Upcoming in July - Out in the Community

Sum Theatre - Theatre in the Park

Once again the CDM is excited to be working with Sum Theatre and their Theatre in the Park! This year Sum Theatre will be presenting HERCULES!

The CDM will be onsite an hour before each performance with a pre-show craft.

Performances run July 3 - 24 (none on Saturdays), please check out the locations and times here.

PotashCorp Children's Festival

We had a blast this year at Children's Fest and were amazed to see all of the neat structures that kids (and adults!) made with our new timber stackers!

Discovery Dash 2015 - Update

This summer is shaping up to be quite busy for us here at the CDM and we are sure that you and your families are very busy too!

There are so many super fun activities happening this summer in the city, so in light of this we will be postponing this years' Discovery Dash.

We do have our feelers out though for a possible date in the fall!

Map Camp for Kids - August 10-14

New this year, the Children's Discovery Museum has joined forces with Map Camp - a geography-focused day camp!

Kids will explore mapping, GPS, environmental issues, and more through hands-on activities and outdoor adventures.

We are also excited to be hosting the camp on Wednesday, August 12, where campers will come to the museum for the day to explore mapping at the museum!

The CDM is going out into the community! During the month of August we will be out at some of the parks around the city!

Did you know -

Legend has it that popsicles were invented by an 11 year old named Frank, who mixed soda powder and water in a cup and left it outside accidentally overnight and it froze! Mmmm delicious.
