The Children's Discovery Museum is open to the public at no charge from noon until 4:00 pm, courtesy of the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon.

Upcoming in April - Look to the Sky - Astronomy Month
Science for Kids 

Come and join us for the next hands-on Science for Kids program! Experiment with colour mixing, writing secret letters and learning about air resistance.

Wednesday, March 25 - 10 am to 12 pm
*Science activities are included with daily admission to the museum.
Astronomy Art & Workshop

Join us to celebrate Astronomy month by creating some hands on astronomy related art work. 

Dates:
April 9 - 10 & 11 am - Watercolour Wonders of Space
April 16 - 10 & 11 am - Watercolour Wonders of Space
Facilitated programming by Helena Larsen-McKay - program includes a story and hands-on watercolour art activity.
*Program is free with daily admission to the museum.


April 26 - 1-3 pm - Starry Stories

Teacher, Artist and amateur astronomer Kathleen Houston will host an art and astronomy workshop. She will tell the Navaho legend, "How the stars fell into the sky". Participants will create a starry skyscape with mixed media on black paper, inspired by the Inuit legend "Holes in the night sky".

*This activity will take place on Kinsmen Free Day - no admission charge.
We're Hiring - Summer Students

We are currently looking for up to two individuals to join our team this summer as Visitor Service Representatives. Candidates will work closely with a team of staff and volunteers to support the museum's mission: to foster creativity, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning in children aged 10 and under, through hands-on exhibits, programming and outreach.

Position Dates: May 4 - August 21, 2015

Did you know
You can create weird and wonderful creations out of different types of recycled goods? Here at the museum our Pop-Up museum uses recycled loose parts for kids (and adults!) to make some neat crafts out of!
