Kinsmen Day
Kinsmen Day is Sunday, November 23: The Children's Discovery Museum is open to the public at no charge from noon until 4:00 pm, courtesy of the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon. We look forward to seeing you!

Introducing Argyle Design

The Children's Discovery Museum is very excited to welcome Argyle Design, a children's museum planning firm from Brooklyn, New York, to develop the master plan for the museum's expansion into the Mendel building in 2017. Argyle has designed over 30 children's museums and they are excited to develop a world-class facility in Saskatoon.

Argyle Design is already busy at work - visiting Saskatoon at the end of October and again this past week to host community engagement workshops, and talk to various groups to ensure that the new facility will work for all Saskatchewan kids, families, and educators.

The master plan of the new facility is expected to be complete in February 2015.

Young at Art - Visiting Artist Sessions

Registration:
$3.75 per child/session*

(includes admission to the museum)

FREE for annual pass holders**

Artist Helena Larsen McKay will be here teaching how to make winter scenes through the use of water colour and salt!

This program is open to all ages - drop in spots are available.

*No admission for adults to attend the Art program but regular admission charges apply to entrance to the museum.

Birthday Parties & Private Rentals

Are you looking for a unique venue to host a birthday party or a holiday get together for friends, family or co-workers?

The Museum offers both Birthday party and private rentals!

Birthday Party:

Cost: $85 for 10 children and 10 adults ($4 per additional person)

The two hour party includes one hour of playtime in the Museum and 45 minutes in the party room for cake and presents. Kids can then play for a few more minutes while they are waiting to be picked up. Please note that the museum will remain open to the public. *Birthday parties can be booked any day of the week during museum hours.

Private Rental:

Cost: $200 for 50 children or adults.

The two hour party includes exclusive use of the museum including playtime in the Museum, use of the party room for food, anytime during the two hours. Please note that private rentals will be held outside of regular museum hours.

*Private rentals can be booked any evening or Sunday mornings.

Please join us for our Annual General Meeting to hear more about the Children's Discovery Museum's past year, future goals, and continuing plans to move and expand in to the Mendel building. Everyone is welcome, and we need the support of the community to make this happen, so please consider adding your voice!
