We are very excited that Child and Youth Friendly Saskatoon is honouring our Board President - Dr. Erica Bird, as the 2014 Children's Champion
Congratulations, Erica!

Erica has served on the Board of Directors for ten years, six of them as President. She was part of the team that opened the Children's Discovery Museum in Market Mall and has continued to work on developing play-based learning opportunities that foster creativity and curiosity in children. Erica has also been a driving force behind the planned move and expansion into the Mendel building, and is excited to be creating a major new attraction for Saskatchewan's children and families.

Erica will be honoured at the Annual Fundraising Gala for Child and Youth Friendly Saskatoon on Sunday, June 8th, 2014.

Sponsor of the Month

The Children's Discovery Museum is proud to have Loraas Disposal as our Sponsor of the Month for June!

Loraas
Loraas Disposal is Saskatchewan's largest waste and recycling service provider, and Loraas Recycle is one of the largest full-service recycling centers in Saskatchewan. As a local, family-owned business, Loraas has been a proud contributor to the community for over 40 years and are especially pleased to support this effort in particular.

Loraas Recycle is very excited to be the service provider for the residential curbside recycling program in Saskatoon. They operate the most advanced recycling system in Western Canada, with state-of-the-art sorting equipment that allows for "single-stream" recycling-the easiest and most effective method of recycling available anywhere.  Want to see where all of those recyclables go? Book a tour of Loraas Recycle's brand new multi-media education room! Call (306) 242-2300.

Thank you for your support!
