Craft Supplies

Do you have any craft supplies kicking around your house that you would be willing to donate?

The CDM is seeking the following craft supplies:
-card stock
-tissue paper
-pom poms
-googly eyes

Craft donations can be brought to the museum during open hours.

Kinsmen Day
We are so happy to announce that the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon has renewed their support for Kinsmen Days for 2014! Kinsmen Day is the fourth Sunday of every month. Admission is free to all, courtesy of the Kinsmen! The next Kinsmen Day is this Sunday, January 26th: The Children's Discovery Museum is open to the public at no charge from noon until 4:00 pm. We look forward to seeing you!

Kids on the Block - Monthly shows

Kids on the Block

(Saskatchewan Association for Community Living)

will be performing monthly puppet shows at the CDM
on the last Thursday of each month!

Kids on the Block is an educational and entertaining puppet performance. The focus of Kids on the Block is to increase acceptance and appreciation of differences, which are central to our communities. By providing awareness of disabilities and social issues through the use of large puppets, the Kids on the Block puppet troupe is able to educate and dispel myths relating to individuals who have disabilities.

February 27th - 10:30am
March 27th - 10:30am

*Shows are free with daily admission
to the museum!

Annual General Meeting

Please join us for our Annual General Meeting to hear more about the Children's Discovery Museum's past year, future goals, and continuing plans to move and expand in to the Mendel building. Everyone is welcome, and we need the support of the community to make this happen, so please consider adding your voice!

When: Thursday, February 13th @ 7 p.m.

Where: Children's Discovery Museum, Market Mall, 2325 Preston Ave South

Thanks again to Bricks 4 Kidz for coming to the museum! We sure had a great time playing and learning with lego!

Upcoming Programs: Ancient Theatre
We are partnering with the Museum of Antiquities (University of Saskatchewan) to offer a three-part Greek and Egyptian theatre program for kids!
