Kinsmen Day
Kinsmen Day is this Sunday, December 22nd: Courtesy of the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon, the Children's Discovery Museum is open to the public at no charge from noon until 4:00 pm. We look forward to seeing you!

Bricks 4 Kids - coming January 2014

The CDM is excited to be partnering with Bricks 4 Kids to bring some fun education programs to the museum using LEGO bricks!

Bricks 4 KidzŽ provides experienced-based education programs that introduce kids to the principles of science, technology, engineering and math (S.T.E.M) using LEGOŽ bricks.

January 11th, 2014: Programs

10 - 10:45 am - Little Builders (unparented for ages 2 1/2 to 5)

Reinforce essential preschool skills with a fun, new approach based on the time-tested popularity of LEGOŽ bricks! Introduce your preschoolers to the fun of learning, building and playing theBricks4KidzŽ way! Watch their eyes light up as kids dig into a pile of brightly colored DUPLO bricks to create fun, simple sculptures based on the ABCs. Children gain a greater awareness of the world around them as they talk about topics like fish, gardens, keys or other everyday objects.

11am - 12pm - After School Enrichment (ages 5-12)

Our one hour classes explore architecture, engineering and technology concepts following the Bricks 4 KidzŽmotto: We Learn, We Build, We Play with... LEGOŽ Bricks.

ˇ   We Learn- Instructors provide a 5-10 minute themed lesson
ˇ   We Build- Students build the model of the day with simple step by step instructions
ˇ   We Play- Students explore their own creativity through free play time

**Must register to reserve a spot - space is limited

Program is free with daily admission to the museum

Winter Education Programs

Book your class, pre-school or daycare group in for one (or more!) of our fun and exciting Education Programs!

We are pleased to announce that our Construction Corner Education Program is now available for booking - in this program kids get to explore two and three dimensional shapes, re-build a house, and create structures of their own! This program is suitable for pre-k to grade 3.

Exploration Visit -

$80 for up to 20 children, $4 for each additional child.

Free play in the Museum and a craft to take home. Chaperons are free.

Discovery Visit -
$90 for up to 20 children, $4 for each additional child.

A Discovery Program and a craft to take home (40-60 minutes) followed by free play in the Museum. Chaperons are free. All children must be three or older.
