Kinsmen Day
|
|
Kinsmen Day is Sunday, May 26: Courtesy of the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon, the Children's Discovery Museum is open to the public at no charge from noon until 4:00 p.m. Just the place to be if the forecast is right about the thunderstorms!

Children's Festival

 We're looking forward to being at the PotashCorp Children's Festival again this year, to celebrate their 25th birthday with them!! it's so much fun, and always sunny :)

Discovery Dash
|
| The fifth annual Discovery Dash is coming soon!! This year's Dash will be Saturday, July 13 in Rotary Park, with kids' dashes, relay races, face painting, family activities, food, medals, race bibs, and more. We're Hiring

| We're looking for an enthusiastic summer student to join the team! Hours and wages: 35 hours/week @ $14/hr. Start date: As soon as possible. How to apply: Send a resume and cover letter to Tracy Straub at discovery@museumforkids.sk.ca. The successful candidate is responsible for:
On-site: Welcoming and orienting visitors to the Children's Discovery Museum, interacting with children and their caregivers, being part of programming development and marketing initiatives, maintaining the premises including tidying and cleaning, cash handling, administration, and research.
Off-site: Development of outreach programming, running activities at events and locations around Saskatoon, interacting with children and caregivers, being an ambassador for the Children's Discovery Museum in the community. The ideal candidate will:
* Demonstrate the ability to take initiative, show good judgment, manage details, and participate in project leadership as assigned. * Be outgoing and friendly, and enjoy working with young children. * Be available to work weekends. * Have their own vehicle. * Be between 16 and 30. * Have been a full-time student this past semester and intend to return to full-time studies in the fall. * Have had a completed criminal record check within past 6 months. * Have references that support the candidate's sense of integrity, professionalism, responsibility, flexibility, and camaraderie. |
