 Day of the Child is November 20, and it commemorates the United Nations adoption of two landmark documents concerned with the human rights of all children and youth: The United Nations Declaration on the Rights of the Child (November 20, 1959), and The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child  (November 20, 1989).

Science Saturdays     


Science Saturdays  
There will be lots of science at the Children's Discovery Museum this fall! In partnership with the Saskatchewan Science Centre, we will have different science activities and demonstrations every Saturday from October 13 to December 29, 2012, all included in the price of admission. BIRTHDAY PARTIES 
Yes! You can still book a birthday party on a Saturday this fall, and you and your guests can enjoy the extra fun of our special Science Saturday activities. Parties can be booked 10-12, 12-2 or 2-4. More information here.

Kinsmen Day       


Kinsmen Kinsmen Day is this Sunday! Courtesy of the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon, the Children's Discovery Museum is open to the public at no charge from noon until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 28.

We're Hiring    


Staff We're hiring another birthday party host! If you are interested in this fun part-time weekend job, please send a cover letter and resume to Tracy Straub at discovery@museumforkids.sk.ca.

Hours: Variable, mostly Saturday and Sunday
Wage: $11.50/hr
Duties: Helping children and parents make the most of their party at the Children's Discovery Museum, leading children's crafts and activities, helping with food and presents, cleaning and tidying, and being courteous, friendly and helpful.
