TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 5-9!

 

Join us in celebrating our wonderful teachers this week by taking part in the following activities:

 

Monday - kids wear yellow

Tuesday - kids wear blue

Wednesday - kids wear green. Bring a flower for each of your teachers to fill their vases! Please remember all of your children's teachers on this day.

Thursday - wear red

Friday - wear PES Spirit Wear

 

We have a fun week full of food and surprises planned for our fabulous teachers. If your child would like to make a card or send in any token of appreciation, they can do so at any time throughout the week.

RAYS REACHING OUT

Books on Wheels Gently Used Book Drive

May 5th - May 15th

The Rays Reaching Out will be collecting gently used children's books for Books on Wheels, May 5th - May15th. The collection bins are located in the entryway to the cafeteria. Books on Wheels is a local non-profit organization that provides free books to children in need. For more information on this organization go to www.booksonwheels.org.

 
RELAY FUNDRAISER

Win 2 tickets to Kings Dominion

 

Pocahontas Middle School's Relay for Life team will be at Pinchbeck

Monday, May 5th- Friday, May 9th  and students can enter to

Win 2 Free Kings Dominion tickets

by donating $1.00.  Each dollar donated= chance to win

 

All proceeds will go to Relay for Life

 

**Tickets are valid any public operating day through Labor day, September 1, 2014***

FIELD DAY VOLUNTEERS - SAVE THE DATE
Mark your calendars for Field day being held on June 6th. Note, this is a date change from last year. Volunteer sign up will begin in May. Please help recruit volunteers to assist with the set up and running the games. We appreciate your help!
