BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

The Pinchbeck PTA is sponsoring a "3 on 3" basketball tournament on Friday, May 2nd. The tournament will begin after school and end at 4 pm. Students will be divided into three categories, K-1st, 2nd-3rd, and 4th-5th. Teams should consist of 3 students and can be co-ed. Parents should plan on picking up their child by 4:00 pm. This event is open to all Pinchbeck students. The deadline for registration is Tuesday, April 29th. TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 5-9!
Join us in celebrating our wonderful teachers this week by taking part in the following activities:
Monday - kids wear yellow
Tuesday - kids wear blue
Wednesday - kids wear green. Bring a flower for each of your teachers to fill their vases! Please remember all of your children's teachers on this day.
Thursday - wear red
Friday - wear PES Spirit Wear
We have a fun week full of food and surprises planned for our fabulous teachers. If your child would like to make a card or send in any token of appreciation, they can do so at any time throughout the week.

Books on Wheels Gently Used Book Drive
May 5th - May 15th
The Rays Reaching Out will be collecting gently used children's books for Books on Wheels, May 5th - May15th. The collection bins are located in the entryway to the cafeteria. Books on Wheels is a local non-profit organization that provides free books to children in need. For more information on this organization go to www.booksonwheels.org.

SCA COLLECTING DONATIONS FOR SPCA

We are hosting a pet supplies drive to help out the dogs and cats awaiting homes at the Richmond SPCA and will be collecting donations through April 30, 2014. The Richmond
SPCA depends on the support of the community to be able to give the best possible care to the dogs and cats awaiting homes at their Robins-Starr Humane Center, and we
hope youʼll participate. Here is a sampling of needed items. A complete list can be found at

Dog and cat toys
Dog and cat beds
Batteries
Non-clay/dust free and clumping cat litter
Kitty litter pans
Kitty litter scoopers
Towels, blankets, sheets, bath mats and soft doormats
Febreze air freshener spray and plug-ins
Manual can openers
Dryer sheets
New or used leashes and flat leather or nylon collars
Although SPCA greatly appreciates monetary donations, the SCA is NOT collecting any cash, checks, or pet store gift cards. This is a collection for supplies.
Please send your donation to school with your child between April 21 and April 30.
