The wind turbines in Nevada are batting the bats across the sky. Here's the story. Perhaps the solution to the solar-farm problem would be to ring the place with wind turbines. Hmm.

Danish lessons
Here's a good one (with lots of background) about the district-heating systems of Denmark and how the idea may catch on in London. I love the way the Danes route the pipes to places where heat would otherwise be wasted. They pick up that heat and add it to the heat produced by the big boilers. So smart, those Danes.

Just might happen if things work out well with this. The article mentions that Icelandic brains are offering advice, and that's always a good thing to have when you're talking serious geothermal.

Check out what's probably going to blow over there, and very soon. There's nothing quite like having a huge volcano under a very substantial glacier to get your attention. If you have plans to fly to Europe in the next few weeks you may want to rethink them.
