Nothing to do with heating
A friend from the U.K. sent me this link and asked me what I thought of the product. Be sure you watch the short video before making up your own mind. It's getting popular in Europe (different sort of toilets over there) and I figure we'll be seeing this one at Walmart before long because, well, you know.

Most efficient?
Nice, short article here about the the most energy-efficient cities in the world. I've been to eight of them. Reykjavik, Iceland comes in at Number One, which makes me wonder since that city is home to some of the lousiest windows I have ever seen. I asked about this and the locals shrugged. Hey, with cheap energy, why bother fixing the windows?

Serious geothermal
When it comes to geo, it doesn't get much hotter than Yellowstone National Park, and they're noticing that more these days because some of their roads are melting. I thought I was on another planet when I visited. Oh, and please don't feed the bears.

Watch Tado
This is the German company that makes the thermostat that works with your smart phone. Leave home with your phone and Tado knows you're not there and adjusts the heat. Well, they just started making the control compatible with cooling systems as well, which is worth watching. Here's the story.

 Hackers have broken into Nest to find a way to keep Google from watching what you're doing while Nest is watching what you're doing. I think this is a bit much because if Google doesn't already know what you're doing, Amazon certainly does. Smile!
