Honeywell's answer to Nest
They're calling it Lyric and it takes its cues from the homeowner's smartphone. I told you about a similar thermostat from Europe a while back. It also uses your smartphone to know where you are. I don't know if there's any connection between the companies but Lyric looks interesting, especially in that it can also sense humidity. Stay tuned.

 Here's a new take on district heating. Those in charge of Seward are talking about running sea water in buried pipes throughout the city and encouraging the locals to tap into that water with personal heat pumps that will make warm water for radiant systems. Neat!
