Talking 'bout my generation
adult and child Here's an interesting take on how different generations view energy efficiency. Good stuff to keep in mind when you're talking to folks if you're an HVAC professional. Or even if you're just talking to your kids. Or your parents. Or anyone.

Putting their heads together
fuel cell How's this for a marriage? When Viessman and Panasonic get together to work on something I sit up a bit straighter and pay attention. Right now, this is just for Europe, but who knows what the future will hold?
Nothing to do with heating
air bear My daughter, Erin, is creative and beautiful and she sent me this quick video, which also fulfills those two adjectives. Where some see garbage, others see art. Watch it with your kids (if you're lucky enough to have them).
Solid advice
canadian currency Some good (and very timely) thoughts about why HVAC contractors should get into the Home Performance biz. No. 1 is my favorite. Thanks, as always, to Robert O'Brien for finding this stuff.
I can't even stand it
skycall project Check out how the brains at MIT are running tours of the campus these days. I especially liked the part in the video where the drone takes the kid though the service tunnel. Yeah, like I could ever figure out how to do that. I'm not worthy.
Toward smarter shelters
Amy Klopotoski Our military is relentless when it comes to saving fuel because that equates to saving lives in their case. Here's what they're up to now and I'll bet some of this improved stuff enters the consumer market in the days ahead. Stay tuned.
Energy benchmarking
Al Franken Keep your eyes on this. It's already a big deal in Philadelphia and I'll bet we'll be seeing it sooner than later in other big cities. Opportunity is knocking. And remember what Senator Franken used to say back when he was still Stuart Smally.
Hug your kids.

Dan
