I loved this story from a well-known Indian architect. He's writing about middle-class life (and energy use) in today's India and how not everyone (including the author) walks it like he talks it. Here's to honesty!

Gutsy move!
So your customer isn't paying his heating bill and you decide to cut them off. Let 'em freeze! You're an ethical business person and that's your stand. So there! That said, I can't help but wonder how this one is going to turn out.

And taking that thought a step further

Meanwhile
Back in the U.S., there's less pressure to insulate homes, and more inspiration to just get another heating appliance and shove Jack Frost back out through the walls. Ah, freedom! Here's the story.

Too busy relaxing?
Here's an interesting take on why some folks do nothing about conserving energy, and it speaks loudly for more automation. It made me think of the Nest thermostat, which needs very little instruction after what seems to be an easy installation. Can't wait to see what comes next!

North vs. South
It's really tough (if not impossible) to live in the Southern U.S. without air conditioning. And with all those AC units blowing cold air for most of the year you'd think that the South was less sustainable than the North when it comes to our typical buildings, right? Yeah, I thought so, too. But then this article made me wonder. Love to hear what you think.
