Super solar
solar at Rice University This one caught my eye and I wanted to share it with you. I'm not seeing the application for space heating yet, unless we can use it to replace steam boiler (kidding), but it looks like it's going to shine in the developing world. Gotta love those nanotubes.

CO poisioning from wood pellet storage
wood pellets There have been some incidents of people dying from carbon monoxide poisoning when entering wood-pellet storage areas. Here's a news story from the U.K, and a PDF with more information. Be careful out there.

Swedish heat

NYC Emissions Mayor Bloomberg has been very good for the New York City environment and the animated video in this story made my jaw go slack. Boy, talk about making it visual!
Merry Christmas!

Hug your kids.
