Gentoo and Thermionix employees But in parts of the U.K. they use off-peak electricity to heat ceramic blocks, which then hold the heat until the folks living in the flats need it. Problem is, the flat folks are turning the knobs to control the fans that blow air across the ceramic. That often has them feeling too hot. So they open the windows. You know, human stuff. So along comes a company that proposes to control all of these heaters by the weather report. No sensors anywhere, just the guy or gal on the tellie. Which just may work. Here's the story
