We'll be discussing any outstanding issues regarding the Valentine's Day Gift Event and the schedule for launching the Summer Gift Event. Diane will also update the volunteers on details about our upcoming fundraisers and additional volunteer needs. |

Beautiful cards and letters from the children were delivered, thanking us for their Christmas presents. Because of you, the holiday was special for them. And your help was appreciated by their family members too! This letter is from a mother of one of our program children:
"Dear My Joyful Heart,
I am very grateful for the gifts that you have provided my son. I really appreciate your kindness and care for those who are less fortunate. Thank you for allowing my son to have a better Christmas. When I am in a better position I will be sure to pay it forward. We are truly blessed to have this opportunity."

We are happy to announce that we will be hosting two fundraising events this year. Our first annual golf outing is scheduled for Monday, September 12, 2016 at Silver Lake Country Club in Orland Park and our sixth annual dinner dance is scheduled for Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the beautiful Tuscany Falls banquet facility in Mokena.

We received a beautiful display case at the ministry center. Not wanting to let the opportunity slip by to support the children of My Joyful Heart, we opened the "Tiniest Boutique." Items on display for purchase include our teddy bear family - Joy, Faith, and Christian, My Joyful Heart T-shirts and sweatshirts, and some beautiful new items like purses, denim shirts, and embellished ladies tees.
We intend to rotate our inventory often and welcome donations for resale. If you have an item you'd like to donate, please email or call us at 815.806.1700. The display case is small, so the items we're most interested in include vintage and new costume jewelry pieces, fine jewelry, and very gently used designer handbags.
We do have visitors at the ministry center, so we're hopeful we will raise a little extra money to help support the kids. If you'd like to come in to shop, the Tiniest Boutique is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We look forward to seeing you soon.
