WHY WE RUN:  With the introduction of two more therapies, 2014 proved to be another year of hope and optimism for melanoma patients. However, there are still many challenges ahead -- melanoma is one of the few cancers on the rise, especially among young adults and the most underfunded cancer of all cancers by federal and private agencies. Last year, Jack's Marathon Team members raised over $73,000 in support of our mission to fight this disease. This year, with your help, we plan to exceed that fundraising number, allowing Jack's Fund to expand awareness programs (early detection is the key to beating this cancer) and allocate more funding to immunotherapy and vaccine research for melanoma.  We continue to run for those who can't!
