Christmas Eve is a great time for families!  We hope your family will join us for our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service, beginning at 6:00 PM. This service will feature a special time for children, and each child present will receive a special gift.  There will be "electric" candles for the young ones to use during the candlelighting portion of the service. We hope you will join us for this meaningful time of remembering the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.

3 Reyes Magos (Coming of the 3 Kings)
To reach our community, we will offer another opportunity to build bridges with the growing Hispanic community.  Three Kings Day will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 6 this year to commemorate the three wise men who brought gifts for baby Jesus.  In many Latin American countries, it is the Three Kings who bring gifts to children on this day, unlike here in America where gifts are received on Christmas day.  The Three Kings Day celebration is being planned so the church can invite their Hispanic friends and neighbors to participate.  Tickets are on sale in the Bridge Foyer.  The $3.00 price includes supper, Mariachi Band and gifts for children.  Fliers are available around the facility to give to your friends and neighbors.
CONNECT -Families Coming Together

Christmas is a time of giving because on the first Christmas God gave us His one and only Son.  What will you give as a family this Christmas?  Don't miss it.

Pray for Me
Last Fall, 180 adults committed to pray for the next generation.  The purpose of the "Pray for Me" campaign is to connect the generations through one of the most basic christian disciplines -prayer.  One of the prayer champions gave her testimony in worship on December 6.  She said that she was praying for a girl, whom she had never met, but God know every part about this child.  As she was praying for this member of the next generation, the Lord impressed on her to continue praying for her grandchildren, and some others of the next generation, who are not yet saved.  The first cycle of using the Prayer Guide finishes on Sunday, December 27.  On December 28, we will begin praying through the book again.

"One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts."  Psalm 145:4
WEEKDAY PRESCHOOL MINISTRY
Our Christmas program was a success!  The preschoolers and staff presented a beautiful celebration for baby Jesus.

We had a cookie reception following the program.

Thank You Weekday Preschool staff for your heart and devoted time.

Merry Christmas!
KIDS MINISTRY

As we say goodbye to 2015, we can look back at all the blessings God has poured out on us.  Through prayers and commitments of volunteers, we saw many children come to Christ and witnessed 15 of them being baptized at FBCD! It is so awesome to see that the Savior God sent for all people, has been accepted by these children.
God has so much more to do in Kids Ministry for 2016.  Pray for children and their families to realize God's goodness in their lives and to have the desire to grow in His love in 2016.

Half Time Kick Off is Wednesday, January 13th.  Kids will have the opportunity to see the classes that are available for them to take and can sign up for their favorite!  Children in 1st-5th grade should come to the Family Life Center at 6:00.
Christmas Post Office

Are you sending Christmas cards to church members and staff this Christmas?  Why not use the LEV3L Post Office to deliver your Christmas Cards and support missions at the same time?  Our youth will accept your Christmas cards this month and hand deliver them to the appropriate Sunday School room each Sunday this month.  Drop your cards off at mailboxes, located near major entrances, along with a 25 cents donation per card. Include the recipients name and their Sunday School class name, teacher name , or room number, if you know it, and your card will be delivered same day.  The Post Office will operate each Sunday in December.  Proceeds will support  the Great Commission Offering.
